Top Takeaways from Kevin Punwasi’s First Visit to the Recent JCK Jewelry Show

As the jewelry industry authority for more than 100 years, JCK is where the people, products, and innovations in jewelry connect each year. This year, as an advisory board member for Augmentes, a leading online jewelry AR technology provider, Punwasi visited this huge show for the first time. His initial comment was, “It was intense!”

With over 1,900 exhibiting companies occupying 430,000 net square feet in more than 20 different show floor neighborhoods, “intense” is probably the most fitting description.

Punwasi, with a career devoted to using technology to enhance the customer experience, is thrilled to see, first hand, the use of AR technology to empower the jewelry industry.

2018 through 2022 saw only modest growth in the online jewelry market. Innovations in technology and jewelry design are predicted to boost growth by an estimated 15.55% from 2023 to 2027.

“This is an exciting time for companies like Augmentes,” says Punwasi, “who already have advanced AR technology in place. We met lots of potential technology partners at JCK. And most importantly, we see a clear path for jewelry stores, designers, and manufacturers encouraged to take the leap into product visualization technologies that boost online sales.”
